These are my igoogle screen shots it seems like it may help me out, it took some time to understand some of the directions that were given to set the certain tabs that are required. I set my blog to reflect things that I like that actual reflect me.

As a broadcasting teacher it is very important for me to help keep my students in touch with the real world media as posable. One one the real world media stays in contact with the audience and from time to time each other is through Facebook, but unfortunately the school system doesn't see Facebook as a communication tool to be used in the classroom. I can see the cons for giving students access to Facebook to those who would only use it to socialize in class and play games and not use it as a Web 2.0 tool for learning. So an alternative to Facebook that I have found and can be very useful is schoology. http://www.schoology.com/home is the link to my page that I have setup and started to navigate for future use and can even be used for my CBR challenge to collect information and data. Schoologly is setup like Facebook so the students should not have a problem with learning to use the page and should find it fun. It is also great because the students can track assignments as well as grades for activities they have completed in class and they can also use it to collaborate on broadcasting projects in my class. This would also be a good Web 2.0 tool to introduce to the other teachers at the school that have problems operating their blogs as an alternative if they enjoy using Facebook. This is also a way to keep in contact with students after the graduate without having to add them to a teacher's personal Facebook account with has been seen to cause some problems. I will use schoolology in addition to my class blog provide through the county.

BP1_Welcome to my blog

Welcome to my blog for everyone that will be following me. Well this is month 4 of the Fullsail program and so far things have been going good. My blog name is part of my last name combined with education I know it may be a little strange but it stands out. The classes and the assignments are great except for the writing of the literature review. I like to think of myself as a pretty good writer but I have the bug called procrastination, which for me seems to be a good thing because i work well under pressure and so far I have made A's in all my classes so lets hope it keeps working out that way. I really appreciate this program because it lets me use my creativity in my video producing to create projects. One day I hope the enjoyment that I have for video production will rub off on one of the many students I have taught and the will choose a career in broadcasting. That is why I am including this picture of my advanced class visiting the Atlanta NBC affiliate on a field trip. Thanks for following me.
